My Introduction Speech

My Introduction Speech

                                        Some things about me:)

    1. Have you ever wondered what the smallest things could mean to someone? Well here are a few of mine.
    2. Purpose Statement:  I’m Ellie, and these are some things that have impacted my life to this day.
    3. Preview Statement:  My three objects I will be sharing with you are my state track medals, a piece from the game Rummikub, and a Wii remote.
  1.           My first object is a Wii remote. That might seem weird, but I have so many memories from my childhood, and recently, of spending hours with my siblings playing Mario Kart and Beatles Rock Band. There have been hundreds of games put into the same Wii that I’ve had for 12 years, but it still works great. That same Wii has traveled to multiple states and been played by so many people, but sadly, I think it has almost ran its course. Playing Wii sports, Just Dance, and so many other games will always be things I remember from my childhood, and some great times with my siblings and friends.
  2.           My next object is a piece from the game Rummikub. Whenever I go visit my great grandma in her nursing home, this is what we play. My mom, my sister, my great grandma and I play rounds of this and have a ton of fun. If I was playing this with anyone else, I would probably consider this boring, but since it is my great grandma’s favorite, I have fun. My great grandma usually wins, but I still get to enjoy the ice cream from the machine down the hall, and just spending time with her. My great grandma has lived a very long, and amazing life. I have always looked up to her and will always remember playing Rummikub with her.
  3.         My final object is my medal from state track this year. I have a love-hate relationship with track. I love running with my friends, making vlogs, and going to track meets, but I don’t love the running itself.  Even though running is not my favorite thing ever, I still want to do it every year, and for some reason I run the longest races possible. I think my favorite thing about track is getting to win with some of my best friends, so winning state was even more awesome.  I remember the moment we were announced as first place, and were so happy, especially looking back at all the hard work we had done that season together. The four of us standing on that podium, barely fitting, has to be one of my favorite track memories.

Those are some things about me, thanks for listening!
